Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that the foreigners said nothing about the demands of the BNP. They didn’t push or offer anything.
He said that it is the democratic right for BNP to participate in an election as a political party, not an opportunity. Why will Awami League favor them, call them? Awami League is not trapping them.
Resignation of the government, dissolution of parliament, and caretaker government – these are the three demands of the BNP. Foreigners did not say anything about these demands of the BNP.
He said these after a meeting and capacity-building workshop on conversion to electric vehicles in the Asia and Pacific region at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Wednesday morning.
General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that BNP was not called for dialogue and elected government. Why the question is arising of the trap of temptation?
Regarding the Gazipur City Corporation election, Obaidul Quader said that Jahangir Alam became mayor from Awami League, it is not known whether his mother is directly connected with Awami League. And the issue of participation in the election is up to the election commission.
He said that the decision has not yet been taken against Jahangir Alam, the sacked mayor of Gazipur City Corporation due to campaigning against the party candidate.
Obaidul Quader said that there was no party decision regarding Jahangir. I don’t want to say anything before any party discussion and decision. He used to participate Awami League. He became mayor on the nomination of Awami League but we don’t know that his mother ever publicly supported Awami League.
